Grandparent Visits
The last two weekends have been so fun. Daron's parents came up to visit last weekend and we celebrated Maryn's and cousin Ethan's birthdays. To celebrate we all went to The Princess and the Frog and then ice skating. I can't believe how well the kids are skating; even Gabe was doing spins on the ice this time. Ian was hilarious. He was out there in his boots running around the ice and all the girls thought he was so cute. He started practicing his "spins" where he would run in circles, and then he started practicing falling down since he saw everyone else doing it. We were laughing so hard. We then went back to Tama's house and had cake and ice cream. This weekend my parents came to visit. We played lots of games and went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries (best fries ever!). My parents just got their mission call to Rwanda so this is the last time they'll be able to come up and visit. We're used to seeing them just about every month so it will be strange to have them gone for 1 1/2 years. They don't have any missionaries in Rwanda currently so my parent's job is to get Rwanda ready to open up for missionaries by the end of the year. While they were here we watched Hotel Rwanda based on a true story about the genocide that happened there 15 years ago. Rwanda is also known for it's Mountain Gorillas. Daron and I definitely want to visit before they come back to the States.
