Latest Pictures

The kids have been enjoying the warm weather.  Here they are playing in the sprinklers.

Luke and Gabe finished playing soccer yesterday.  Here is a picture of Luke playing and Gabe and dad watching.  Gabe looks pretty wiped out after being the high scorer yet again.

Ian had his preschool "graduation".  Here he is with his teachers.  They adored him!

The males in the family went on a Fathers and Sons camp out with the ward.  They went to Givens Hot Springs and had a great time swimming, eating dinner, playing and then had a short fireside on the priesthood.  Ian was so excited because this was his first time to go since dad only takes kids who are out of diapers.

Maryn and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with shopping, eating out, and going to see the movie Soul Surfer - great movie!

Mother's Day

I woke up to find my kids busy at work making me breakfast.  They did it all on their own and even made cute little gifts.

Gabe even made a green salad with carrots to go with our waffles, strawberries and little smokies.

Maryn and Luke made me a card and wrote a poem for me.  Here they are reciting it.

Ian made me a puppet.

Gabe made me rings and other various crafts out of paper, beads and hot glue.

I am so blessed to have four precious children.  I love them so much and they bring my life so much joy!  I am forever grateful to their birth parents who made it possible for me to be a mom.  I'm also so grateful to my mom for setting such a good example of what a mom should be.  And thanks too to my mother-in-law for raising an amazing son!

Our Weekend

Gabe started out the weekend by getting hit in the head with a baseball bat while playing in the backyard.  Luckily it was a plastic bat, but he was still pretty sore for a day.  His poor head has been the brunt of many accidents these past six years, but he is one tough kid!

Friday afternoon we had a Primary party at the church with Crispy Creme donuts for dessert.  Here's a picture of Ian at the event. 

Daron went on a camp-out with the 11-year-old scouts Friday night.  He had a very cold night since it got down to freezing.  Sat. evening Tama and her family came for dinner.  That evening Maryn and Luke asked if they could sleep outside.  We told them it would get very cold but we said they could if they really wanted to, thinking they'd come inside at some point and get in their warm beds.  Well, they ended up spending the whole night outside and didn't wake up until 7:30. 

In the morning they decided they were in the mood for a camp fire so they lit a fire in the fire pit and had hot dogs left over from Daron's camp out for breakfast!
