Ian Turns Two!

It is hard to believe that my baby is two and that this is the last time I'll go through the toddler stage. He had a fun birthday and loved his new toys.

Here is a picture of Ian helping make his birthday cake

Some things about Ian at two:
1. He doesn't have a huge vocabulary, but he'll often take three words and run it together like it's one long word - eg. more milk please (pronounced momikpls) or want some (pronounced wansom). It's pretty funny that he went from almost no words to some sentences.
2. He LOVES to play with his older siblings and their friends and they love to play with him. They include him in everything and Maryn and her friends will take him on stroller rides and practice changing his diapers. It is so cute to see him following all the older kids like he's one of them.
3. He is so affectionate and loves to snuggle, hug and give love pats. Every time I get him up in the morning or from naps, he always wraps his arms tightly around me and lays his head on my shoulder and he'll just stay that way. He also loves to press his cheek to my cheek and just hold it there.
4. His favorite thing is milk. It's partly due to Ian that I now go through almost a gallon of whole milk a day.
5. He is very friendly and will go to anyone and let anyone hold him.
6. He loves to laugh and be silly, and will often laugh just because everyone else is laughing. He loves to play to a crowd.
7. I love that he is small and so easy to carry around and love on.
8. He may be small, but he definitely makes his presence known. He can be very loud and insistent when he wants something, so much so that we can't even carry on a conversation at the dinner table until he gets what he wants!
9. I love how he'll climb up on the couch, perch in his favorite spot and start screaming, "Baney! Baney!" whenever he wants to watch Barney
10. He likes to push the kitchen chairs around and climb up on the counters and get into the cupboards. He is always into something!

We love you Ian!
