Here's a picture of the cute cottage in her room before we painted over it.
This is her room now:
The crib is in front of the opening to the cottage. You may be asking what a crib is doing in her room...sadly, Ian has regressed and been put back in a crib. He failed the test of the big boy bed. In fact, he failed it so miserably he is now in a crib with a tent top that zips up so he can't get out. That's what we were hoping anyway. It took him two days to rip the zipper on the tent. Originally we moved him out of his room, where we had to lock him in at night because he wouldn't stay in bed, to use it as an exercise room. We moved him and his bed in with Maryn, but it didn't work to lock him in her room since we couldn't lock the sliding bathroom door to the Jack-n-Jill bathroom. So after that he would not stay in his bed or room. Not only would he not go to sleep at night, but he would wake up during the middle of the night and wander the house, looking for random toys and waking people up. I have to say, he wins the award for the worst sleeper of my four kids. He does seem to like the crib better than the bed though, so even though the tent is broken he is staying in bed somewhat better.
