Here I am as our ferry was pulling in.
We had to wait for all the cars to unload coming from Vancouver Island before we could load our car.
Sailing away
The first thing we did when we got there was go to the famous Buchart Gardens. These are the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen and there are acres and acres of them.
The next day we took a 3 1/2 hour drive up to Campbell River and did a raft trip where you snorkel with the salmon. This is the time of year where the salmon are swimming upstream to spawn and there were times where we were floating over a wall 6 feet deep of salmon. It truly was amazing. Some of them were huge! We stopped on the way back to Victoria and had dinner outside in this amazing setting.
Victoria is a beautiful city. Here are some things we saw around town from our double decker bus tour.
This is the famous Empress Hotel. Look at these funny trees! There are many trees on the island like this.
China town has the smallest alley.
There are beautiful gardens all over town.
We were able to do a zipline course through a part of the forest.
Parliment Building
And of course we had to stop at a Canadian Grocery store and stock up on Shreddies - our favorite cereal and you can't find it in the USA! It was our lucky day and they were buy one get one free.
