We went white water rafting with some of our friends on Hells Canyon. Hells Canyon lived up to its name by being well over 100 degrees the three days we were there. But since we were on the water the whole time we only had to jump in to cool off. This was the first time we brought Ian with us and he loved it.
Here we are getting ready to make the three hour drive to the canyon. Hells Canyon is part of the snake river and divides Idaho and Oregon.
Here's some pictures of us loading up at the dock:
Ian caught his first fish ever. The kids had a blast fishing as we floated down the river and literally caught over 100 among them.
Maryn and her friends riding bull.
Maryn doing some cliff jumping.
Waking up after a great night's sleep. It would cool off at night and we slept so soundly under the stars. The moon would come up over the cliffs in the middle of the night so brightly it would wake us up before we'd roll over and go back to sleep.
Here's Gabe in front of one of the streams that fed into the river.
Luke fishing while we stopped for lunch.
The kids playing on a sandy beach.
This was our last hurrah before school starts since Gabe and Luke start school tomorrow!
