I measured the boys the other day and Luke is exactly 5 ft, Gabe 4 ft, and Ian 3 ft. Maryn is about 4'10" and is wondering when she is going to start growing. She has finally grown out of her size 10 pants so that must be a good sign.
Luke and Gabe had soccer games this Saturday. Daron is Gabe's coach and they actually practice in our backyard so it's pretty close to home:). Gabe's games are 3 on 3 and Gabe was the high scorer again with about 7 goals. Their games are hilarious to watch with kids tripping over each other and the ball or just not paying attention at all. Luke scored the only goal on his team. His games are fun to watch because they actually have some skills at that age and play on a bigger field. It's great exercise and by the time the hour is over Luke has had quite the workout.
The other night I was working on the computer when I heard a noise out in the hallway. I thought maybe someone had let the dog out of the kitchen so I went to look. I had tucked the younger kids into bed over an hour ago and the older kids were in the living room. I didn't see anything but could still hear noises so I opened the closet door that's in the hallway. Next thing I know, Ian comes falling down from the very top shelf, spilling an open bottle of bright red Triaminic medicine all over the place. The little monkey had manged to completely shut the closet door with him in the closet (which is a feat in and of itself since there is almost no room between the door and the shelves). He then climbed up all the shelves and then managed to open a child proof bottle of medicine. He wasn't hurt in the fall and I managed to get all the red out of the carpet. It looked like most of the medicine had gone on the carpet and not down his throat which was a relief. Needless to say, we took down all the medicine that night and stuck it in Daron's car until we can buy a lock box for it. I should have knocked on wood last year when I said out loud what an easy two-year-old he was, because he sure has been a handful at three! But he's so dang cute and funny it's hard to keep a straight face when he should be in trouble, especially when he looks at us with those big eyes and long eye lashes and so eloquently for a three year old explains why he just HAD to do what he just did, even though he KNEW it was wrong.
