Summer~

The kids got out of school June 11th at 11:00. A bunch of school friends and moms went to the park for lunch and then walked over to the pool.

Maryn and Luke each had friends over after the pool party. Here is Maryn and her friend doing what girls like to do.

Last weekend was Gabe's turn to go out to dinner with us. After dinner Daron had to grab something at Cabelas so Gabe and I decided to have a little fun while we waited for dad. Gabe dressed up all camo and then had to hold every gun in the store. That kid loves guns!

He wanted the beaver skin hat you see him wearing so badly. Daron and I told him maybe for his birthday. He got all teary and said he just couldn't wait that long and they might be gone. I honestly have never seen him want anything so much! So we said if he really wanted it now he could buy it with his own money. Daron lent him $8.00 for the $6.99 hat and when we got home he paid Daron back. He was so happy and has worn that thing ever since.

This weekend was fun, but I have no pictures to prove it as I didn't take my camera with me anywhere. On Friday we went to Roaring Springs water park which is just 15 minutes from where we live.
I love that Daron doesn't work Fridays because it's an extra day to go play when things aren't too crowded. The kids all love the wave pool and Gabe practically lived in it. Ian went down this huge slide called the Racing Ridge. You lay down on a mat and hold on to the handles and fly! He loved it! He's probably one of the few two year olds to do this ride.
On Saturday we went and pruned peaches at the church orchard and then ate lunch at a beautiful restaurant. We ate outside under the big trees with fountains and water flowing through flowers and rocks. Not only was it beautiful but the food was delicious! I love times like this weekend when we can all work and play together. They are all such good kids and I am so blessed to be their mom!

On this Father's Day (and just about any other day), I am so grateful for Daron. He really is such an amazing father. The only gift he wanted today was to spend one-on-one time with each of his kids doing whatever it was they wanted to do. He puts so much time and attention and love into raising our kids. I have never had to ask him to be there for them or spend more time with them - there's nothing he would rather do. I am also so grateful for my own dad and for always knowing we kids were so important to him. He was always there for me and and I have always looked up to him so much.
